Peter and Ingrid Czichomski were world travelers with the same dream. After moving to Lafayette in December 1996, they decided to make their dream a reality. Ingrid, a native of Haiti, and Peter, a German Professional Seaman, missed the fine baked goods of Europe and resolved to establish a business where they could bring those goods to Lafayette and the surrounding areas.

With the assistance of their local Small Business Development Center (SBDC), they were able to establish themselves as a limited liability corporation and raise the necessary capital to start their business. Their line of products now include coffee, pastries and breads like French, Multigrain, Bavarian Rye, Sourdough, Italian, Ciabatta, Muesli and Broetchen.
